Cam *may* have more upside than Banks. But he’s not better than Kelvin.

They’re both gonna make a lot of money playing pro football. And they both represent the Horns very well. 

Cam is NOT better and I have concerns bs speed rushers and picking up blitz packages vs teams like ou and uga. 
 

I have zero of these same concerns about Banks.

I do wonder in the NFL eyes as the season moves along ... who do the scouts see as having the higher upside long term. To me that's the question

a lot of your concerns are going to be addressed with experience.

Cam, with his newly reshaped body just looks more like a Tyron Smith type to me.  And he doesn’t have nearly as many starts of course compared with Banks.  His upside and potential was dependent first on him reshaping, the rest is very intriguing because he was fast (in his high school tape) when he wasn’t in good shape. 

This is shattering my silly hope that Cam Williams might stick around for the 2025 season at Texas.  I was hoping for something of a learning curve season from Williams in 2024, enough so that he returned for the 2025 season to move up draft boards with more game experience.

Alas, my hopes seem dashed.

 The probability that Texas has to replace all 5 starting OL next season is really increasing.

Which exact podcast are you referring to?  I've gone through the last few Move the Sticks pods around that 9:15 mark and don't hear any college discussions.  Curious to see the entire discussion

I wouldn’t get ahead of yourself thinking he doesn’t return next season. Theres A LOT of season to go to worry about anything like that.
