Mel Kiper Jr. on Quinn Ewers after the Michigan game

Featured Replies

IMHO, Quinn missing his senior year of high school hurt his natural maturation.Β  Β He is regaining his confidence. He's about to ball out.

Hook'em

Send this to McCuistion at Soonerscoop when he says Ewers isn't much. He'll be better than any criminal interloper in the NFL.

Did that dude just say Ewers has a mid arm?

I'm not super adept at evaluation. Is there any truth to that?

Not for me. Quinn has plenty of arm strength ... think he disguises it more than a lot of others though.

I'd agree. He throws with touch almost all the time. He can zip it when he wants, deep or short.

He did say that he isn't as athletic as Sanders or Beck, nor as good of an arm. I'm not sure Sanders is more athletic than Quinn though. Sanders looks like an awkward scrambler. I do think Beck is more athletic, and a better runner, but Quinn is definitely athletic enough and can make any NFL throw.Β

Thankfully for Quinn, there were lots of NFL scouts and staff at the Michigan game, per Pete Thamel.

There's a reason Kiper is a TV draft analyst and not working in a team's war room or as a GM. I'll let you guys figure that out and I'm saying this without watching the video🀘🏿

Quinn can make any throw on the field and has transformed his body enough to run for a first down/out of a sack if needed. If he can show he can stay healthy, he is a top pick.Β

He doesn't always let it rip. He has plenty of touch. But the arm strength is there. He can spin it.

Anyone that questions Ewer's arm strength, go watch the throw to Worthy against Alabama in 2022. Deep out from the far hash, it was a rope and right where it needed to be. There are plenty of starting QBs currently in the NFL that couldn't make that throw today.

I’ve been hearing the Quinn arm strength bs for a couple of years. He can spin it as well as anyone. It’s a narrative that will slowly die this season. 🀘🀘

One plays on my squad the 49ers. If you want to see what a weak arm looks like just watch Brock throw everything 15 yards or less.

Every blade of grass.

Beat me to it, he can honestly hit every blade of grass on the field. Dak just got generationally wealthy with lesser accuracy.

Believe he once took two steps and threw a ball 75 yards on the fly…

his motion so fluid looks effortless, he does spin itΒ
