As we get closer to the opener against Colorado State, I’m going to post a memorable play of the day that somehow represents that day’s number.

Today's play goes back to 2009, when Texas and Texas Tech squared off. The Horns were up in the 4th quarter 24-17 and Texas Tech had hopes of tying it up. 

Sergio Kindle had other plans, however. Kindle sacked QB Taylor Potts, forcing a fumble which the Longhorns recovered and it eventually lead to another Texas touchdown. 

The Horns won 34-24.

    Sadly that would probably be a penalty today.

    It may be plays like that that inspired the targeting rule.  You have to admit, a player could get really hurt getting tackled like that.

    I think Rod Wrights hit on Bomar's OU was even worse. Never forget the call "Bomar's Hurt".

    Definitely. It was a great hit, but the Injury aspect is very real.
