The Longhorns baseball program has hired Mason McRae as the Director of Analytics.

McRae previously served as an Assistant in Amateur Scouting for the Boston Red Sox.  Prior to his stop in Beantown, McRae served as the Director of Analyitcs at William and Mary and was also a scout for the Chicago Cubs organization.

    Blake, I think that baseball uses analytics as much or more than any other sport. Can you go into how much Schloss uses analytics compared to our previous staff? Plus, while the title ‘Director of Analytics’ seems self explanatory, can you go into the position’s exact job description?
