Duane Akina, one of the architects of Texas' DBU in the 2000s, mulled a return to Texas this off-season in a role that would have made him an analyst and special assistant to head coach Steve Sarkisian. However, Akina was recently offered an on-field role with Arizona subsequent to the hiring of Brent Brennan as new head coach of the Wildcats. Good luck to Coach Akina!
