Coffee and Football: Monday 04/22

The name Manning is going to attract a lot of media attention, good and bad. This year, we’re just going to have to put up with this stupid stuff about transferring. Once he’s the starter, most of the coverage will just be full on hype.

On the whole, the coverage will be a net plus for the program over the next 2-3 years.

@Bobby Burton talking about Arch and getting clicks, you asked does it get clicks from Texas fans?  100%.  I don’t know what the percentage is but there are a lot of Texas fans who aren’t on here and don’t know much of anything about Texas football other than the score of the game and the team record.  They see these articles and videos and perpetuate the narrative.

@Gerry Hamilton question on arm strength.  I LOVE Arch and thought he was amazing but seems he has to put his whole body in to it to get it to the outside and that Hail Mary didn’t get to the end zone from about 55 yards.  Could very well have been throwing to a spot.  Vs Quinn, that throw to X vs Alabama. He threw it close to 60 and was just an arm flick.  Thoughts here?  First time seeing him so genuine question…
