ESPN % Chance at First Round CFP Bye

Featured Replies

Does anybody actually know where ESPN gets their formula for calculating these percentages? Maybe the closest sewer or well used Port-a-Potty? I view Texas as more of a 15% or 20% at a first round bye because that only happens if Texas wins the SEC. ESPN is hilariously bad and gets worse by the year at this point.

Why do you think they only get it by winning the conference? It’s no longer tied to that, just the top 4 teams

Because Texas will have to win the conference in my opinion in order to be ranked top 4, if they lose the SEC championship game they will likely be either 11-2 or 10-3 and I doubt the committee would rank them top 4 at either of those records, just going off of how dumb they are about records and number of losses

Ah okay I was thinking of the scenario where we lose one game and miss the sec championship. Like Oregon or a+m last year. With our schedule that should get us in top 4 hopefully. But a home game would be dope
