Something that hardly gets mentioned is recruiting.  We got a major upgrade in that department. When the leader of your defense doesn't go out and recruit, it's a bad look.  I know if I was on that staff, it would certainly raise a few questions with me.  Recruiting is the lifeblood of a program.  It's not a matter of want to.  It's a matter of HAVE TO.

It's not uncommon for coordinators to do limited work on the recruiting trail. The difference is that Muschamp loves the evaluation process and getting out to talk ball with high school coaches. He loves that grind, which isn't the case for a lot of coordinators.
