I get the cope and wanting any good news after the gut punches of Bumila and Peterson. But Blake has been saying all along that the whole HS class will for sure make it to campus with the exceptions of Emerson (obviously) and Harris (not likely) and the open questions around Bumila and Peterson. Whether the rest of our HS class announces they're "removing themselves from the rest of the draft" (which is new and weird) or not, they're in the bag. Not news, nor am I celebrating.

whom is the third starter next year. we have a proven guy as a starter, a hopeful closer to starter guy, then who? 

 

Cole Selvig (Minnesota), another former Longhorn, goes to the Marlins in the sixth round.

Do we think Texas getting all these pitchers to campus will hurt our chances with Paz??

As of now, likely one of Crossland, Walls or Winter.

It shouldn't.

As of right now (1 p.m. Sunday), I believe the first post in the thread is update with draft picks and signees who've publicly confirmed that they're pulling out of the draft pool and going to Texas.

 

 

We're into the 10th round. Once the 10th round is complete, the maximum signing bonus for a draft pick that doesn't count against a team's bonus pool is $150K.

I don’t think he was expected to be a top 10 round guy.

I don’t think I’ve seen him on any type of draft list.

He must really be eager to start his pro career.
