With today marking the beginning of a new fiscal year for college athletics, might as well get a new thread going.

Missing a few names, but this really puts it into perspective…

Anyone watch the AUSL? Seeing Atwood catch Pickens is weird and amazing at the same time.

I watch some.  I don't have a favorite team.  I just watch the former Longhorns do their thing.  They should add more teams by merging with the PSL in the future.

They're doing horrible marketing the league, with Pickens, Atwood, Canandy... along with some many other high profile players coming in from a very popular college softball you'd think their partners from MLB would really get behind it so that the league doesn't collapse or they don't have to wait 30 years like the WNBA. Women sports are really taking off.

Yeah I agree.  The league has so much potential.  I hope it doesn’t fold in a few years.

Reese just hit a 2 run blast for her 8th HR of the season.

OU is kinda cooked in this era. They aren’t spending big in softball NIL wise and not portaling in big time kids. She’s good from HS but how many times have five stars flamed out (look at Bordi)

Yeah they won’t fall off a cliff as a program as long as Patty Gasso is there, but they also won’t be “OMG how do you beat them” good like they were in 2023 anymore.  They’ll be more like Bama football now.  Doesn’t mean they can’t get back to the WCWS and win another national championship, but it won’t be OU vs the field like it was a few years ago.

That's what makes Texas like no other school in the country. We don't have to pick and choose which sport we're going to spend on. We have the resources to spend on them all. Look at our men's basketball roster, our women's basketball roster, our football roster, our volleyball roster, our baseball and softball rosters. It's why we're always in the running for the Director's Cup. There aren't many schools who can compete with that.

Katie Stewart says hi (SEC PLAYER OF THE YEAR)

Atwood put too much pressure on herself all year didn’t help. But I’m glad Earleywine is gone.
