QB Succession.

With the “Manning might come back for 2027” comments and the line up behind  him, makes you wonder which QBs we will see start between 2027 to 2030 range.
Lacy—Bell—Knudsen—Laurence

What a great situation to ponder.

I remember back when another QB recruit that few were talking about came to the 40 and outshined all the more shiny recruits - Colt McCoy.  Would love to see that happen again.

I love the Colt story as much as anyone - it’s one of the best parts of Texas history. And honestly, that’s what makes this QB room fun. Every guy in it has a real path, and Sark’s track record says someone unexpected usually takes a big jump.

If Arch does stay in 2027, it just gives Lacy, Bell, Knutson, and Laurence more time to develop the right way. Whoever rises out of that group is going to be a legit starter, not a placeholder.

It’s a good problem to have again.

Arch returning next year as nothing to do with Laurence, who won't be on campus until Arch's egilibility runs out. I do think if Arch does return, Lacy hits the portal.

Impossible to predict. Just too many moving parts. Even just in 2027, our starter could be Manning, Lacey, Bell, or a portal guy (least likely, imo).
