Our countdown to kickoff continues with No. 73, a number represented by one of the best offensive linemen in Texas history and one of the most dominant defensive tackles the program has ever produced.

Jonathan Scott clearly belongs in this discussion, as he earned unanimous All-American honors and helped lead Texas to the 2005 national championship. Shaun Rogers is right there with him, as a two-time All-Big 12 selection who enjoyed a lengthy NFL career that included three Pro Bowl appearances.

The current No. 73 is Brandon Baker, the former five-star offensive tackle who started all 13 games at right tackle in 2025 and is expected to remain a cornerstone of the Longhorn offensive line entering the 2026 season.
