She has to have a shoulder issue bothering her. White wouldn’t make a change without a reason. 

This feels like a situation where he’s over thinking it a bit? I think you go for the throat to close out, but Teagan has also thrown a ton of innings. Interesting decision but he has a plan of some kind. 
 

It’s hard to doubt one of the greatest men’s Fastpitch pitchers in the history of the sport.

The pad on the pitching shoulder is normal, keeps the shoulder warm.
