He wasn't included on the postseason roster and didn't play this season. Typically, the staff is OK letting guys in that boat get a head start if they're looking to go elsewhere.

The problem with baseball portal recruiting is very few are in the know. Most throw crap at the wall and hope it sticks (see: Samford INF visiting, Watters being all Ga Tech).  The best part of b

There have only been nine guys in the history of the Texas program who’ve hit 19 or more home runs in a season. It’s a pretty significant number.

Surprised Daddy Warbucks Campbell is letting him go

I’m not surprised.  He’s ineligible for softball.

Looks like we have our first massive whiff of the cycle. #Oof

Is it a massive whiff if Texas ends up with the 2nd or 3rd best outfielder in the portal instead of the 1st?

Let it play out. I remember when missing on Becker and Hacopian last year were “massive whiffs” and we ended up with some plan C option names Temo Becerra, who had a career year.

Great point.

Just remember Tinney wasn't the first choice for Texas last year. How did that work out?

Yes, it is a massive whiff. Becker or Hacopian could end up being the player away from winning a ring or not. That's TBD and we'll likely never know. But these are the players LSU has won titles with. Gotta land them, period.

We’ll let the staff know you prefer to land great players. I’m sure they haven’t thought of that after watching Tinney and Robbins all year.

Again, let it play out. It’s June 10th. The portal isn’t even at the halfway mark.

Haha. There isn't nearly as much star power in this cycle as there was last year. Gotta get em while you can. Oh well though.

Just hate being outbid. Makes no sense

Apparently the baseball program doesn't get nearly enough support as the other major sports, which makes no sense considering they have the better history. Sucks

How is Becker or Hacopian doing this year?

They both had great seasons and both battled injuries.

This guy a take? @Blake Munroe

You might as well keep Casey Borba. At least Borba gives you some versatility on the field

That's catcher. Not sure where Casey Borba came into play here. 😂
