McMurphy: SEC coaches were ‘misled’ about going to nine games

Featured Replies

There has always appeared to be a unified front from SEC personnel during this time of year in the past. Feels a bit different this go round.

I thought that was always the deal with the big 10.  We (sec) will go to a 9 game conf schedule of the playoffs we’re expamded to 16.  Then it felt like the rug was pulled out from Sankey.

There is so much confusion in CFB that it's almost impossible to have a unified front when nobody knows what to be unified about.   Feels like they are all unified that there needs to be rules and regulations that can actually be enforced.

I think that was the case, but Big Ten expected a fixed number of AQs (4 for them), and that was a non-starter for SEC.

Sankey should have had a contract in place before moving to 9 games.
