With Grubbs going down and a few guys banged up, Schloss wanted to get a look Kaleb Rogers, who he said has been “amazing” in the team’s simulated games.

Schloss anticipates the five-for-five eligibility rule passing, so the staff didn’t feel there’s a need to redshirt Rogers.

No immediate update from Schloss on Ruger Riojas.

Sounds like Schloss wanted rest Ruger, but he also wanted to let him play on senior day.

Rogers wasn't on my radar.  schloss knows best!!

I've learned to trust Schloss (and a majority of the Texas HCs).  He had a plan and knew who he had in the tank to get it done.  Good on Rogers for stepping up and delivering when it mattered.
