My reply was about the time. Starting to see a bunch of kickoff times this week so this will be a good thread to keep them all in one place.

I’ll be there, me and 10 thousand of my rowdy friends! Go Bucks! I love the Austin campus and atmosphere, can’t wait!

Gonna be a good one! Make sure and try and connect with OTF folks and see where the tailgate is this year!!!

Sounds like College GameDay will be at Clemson v LSU to kick off the season

as they should be

Maybe LSU can rise above mediocre this year, but I have big doubts about Son of Clem.

I would love to. Thank you for the heads up!

My wife and I have been to Austin before, and loved it.

We went to Barton Springs Pool, saw the bats come out from under the bridge, etc. if there’s any other must sees let me know!

Those are some good ones for sure. Mt. Bonnell is always nice in the morning to hike up and just getting out and about around town lake on the trail or greenbelt near Barton springs is fun for sure. We live out in Marble Falls on Lake LBJ and it’s definitely a beautiful area, plus blue bonnet cafe for pie. Always fun to go check out all the BBQ around and Salt Lick is an experience (though not the best BBQ around IMHO).

I don’t know if this is popular with the locals (or if it’s just popular with out of towners) but we went to Terry Black’s BBQ I think it was. That was amazing!

As of now, we plan on going to The Comedy Mothership for a show on Friday night, followed by dinner and drinks next door at Iron Cactus

Nice!! Terry Black’s is good stuff for sure!! Great story about family splitting up and rivalry between brothers and cousins. The original Black’s versus Terry Black’s. For my money Micklethwait BBQ is my favorite https://www.craftmeatsaustin.com/

I’ll add that to the list!

Iron Cactus is OK, but try Polvos, or Curras or Habaneros.  Sauzon is good too.

Agree! Polvos is my fave personally, the original on S. 1st. El Rancho is definitely a great spot too.

Can’t wait for y’all to come back to Texas. Last time you saw Barton Springs and the bats - adorable. This year we’re upgrading you to the full Texas package: queso that will spiritually challenge you, heat that will physically challenge you, and a stadium atmosphere loud enough to make you forget how to spell ‘Buckeye.’ We’ll show you the sights, the food, and at least one guy walking a goat on South Congress. Welcome back to the big leagues

Ha, I don’t know what any of this means but I’m excited to find out!

I'm so happy we don't have Big Noon Kickoff in the SEC.

I’m in the minority, but I don’t mind Big Noon. Due to what I’m sure is going to be a very hot day in Austin, I am also relieved the SEC doesn’t have Big Noon

You don't want Big Noon in Austin in the middle of September. Literally, people could easily die. 125 on the field with 110k people. Bad combo.

I'm in San Diego so Big Noon is early for me.

I agree.  Nothing wrong with Big Noon.

I try to take my Buckeye fandom out of it, and put the sport front and center.

I think it is best for the sport to have massive games all day long, beginning with the noon time slot.

If the B1G didn’t prioritize the noon time slot, we would have to wait till 3:30 most Saturday’s until we got the first big game of the day.

My man, only an Ohio State fan could come in here and say “the sport needs noon games” with a straight face.

At noon in Texas, we’re still hydrating, stretching, and making sure the queso is at optimal viscosity. You’re out there acting like God intended kickoff to happen before the brisket even hits peak tenderness.

Y’all treat Big Noon like it’s a sacred ritual. Down here, that’s just when we’re checking the weather and deciding which pair of boots to wear.

But hey, respect- Buckeyes really do believe the entire sport runs on Eastern Time. Bless your corn‑fed hearts.

I am in the small minority of Ohio State fans that don’t mind Big Noon. Like I said, I prefer big games all through the day.
