With Spears Jr. ... he is making a fair # in year one from what I hear. This wasn't a bargain recruitment for Texas. That was Austin Goosby who took half of what BYU was offering to be at Texas. But t

Seems like we have good reason to have a thread to chat on all summer and through the season.    Team workouts begin June 1, I believe

I do think Texas is potentially better at every position (not to start the season at SG), with one distinction ... Texas played two SF's last year and not a traditional 4 man, so they are combined.

Good list, but I would swap UofL for UF and maybe swap Texas for UConn.  I want a Tennessee-Texas Regional Final matchup in San Antonio so badly.  Something would have to give for both HCs and both programs in that scenario.

Florida gets the extra year from Denzel Aberdeen if today’s ruling actually ends up sticking … def No. 1

I think all these lists are now meaningless in large part until we see how all of this plays out

Definitely possible. Wonder what the NCAA’s next move will be on this one

Appeal and lose.

Despite the fact that he is a long time hoops fan who should know better he won't respect others at this website and he will not back away from his apparent obsession. However, there is a remedy that will not interfere with Harvey's self indulgence and yet will make your reading of hoops threads more enjoyable.

They could take a diff approach

Could say teams that sign these players will not be eligible for postseason play

Force the hand of the schools. Sign them and then take the NCAA to court… would take a while for that to play out

That’s something I thought about early on, but nobody ever really talked about it. It actually makes a lot of sense. I would wait until every player finds a team and then drop the hammer.

Looks like even though Braden Smith was drafted he has not signed a contract with the Pacers. Pacers are trying to see if he will accept a two way. Who knows if he would leave Purdue, but I'm sure he's getting tons of calls right now.

Would we rather play against Jordan Pope or Chendall Weaver? 🤔

Really hope the NCAA denies these guys though

Doesn’t matter to me. Texas played against better last season… and that’s coming from someone who respects both players

Pope is the much better player, however.

Not sure what's "better" in this context. I'm thinking historical importance.

I saw the post with the city limit sign for Detroit, TX. I remember playing Detroit in a tournament in Sulphur Springs in December 1988. Their fans had a chant that went something like, "De-Troit, De-Troit. We're coming at you now and we're gonna rule the court, De-Troit, De-Troit." We won the game something like 77-61.

The judges clarification today should eliminate Aberdeen from transferring back to Florida.

But he was already in the portal after season. Does that change it?

I assume the same for football and basketball

I didn’t realize he was in the portal.

If someone has won in court against an organization, and the organization subsequently threatens someone that can provide a remedy, a judge is not likely to tell that someone, "Sorry, can't do anything about that." That judge would want that decision enforced.
