With Spears Jr. ... he is making a fair # in year one from what I hear. This wasn't a bargain recruitment for Texas. That was Austin Goosby who took half of what BYU was offering to be at Texas. But t

Seems like we have good reason to have a thread to chat on all summer and through the season.    Team workouts begin June 1, I believe

I do think Texas is potentially better at every position (not to start the season at SG), with one distinction ... Texas played two SF's last year and not a traditional 4 man, so they are combined.

Top 10 in football, basketball and baseball.

Good times on the 40 acres.

What school has been the closest to completing the trifecta?  I think Florida in the 2006-07 college athletics season nearly pulled it off, but don't remember how their baseball team did that season.

Yep. That’s who is closest … baseball regional that year

Many of these rankings are nuts. Arkansas doesn't have a legitimate 4 or 5 on their roster. Kansas doesn't have a proven player on their roster.

Will all the players be there? I remember Mark missing a couple of years ago, because he was still taking classes at Arkansas.

When will Texas take advantage of taking one of those summer tours playing exhibitions vs pro teams? Calipari seemed to take one every chance he got at least while he was at Kentucky. Meanwhile, I can only recall Texas doing it once in 2017 with the Mo Bamba team under Shaka that went to Australia. I believe we can do one every 4 years yet we've only done one in the last 24 years. One would think in the age of the portal that this would help speed up the development of team chemistry and camaraderie.

Good Q. I'll ask if it's something Miller ever plans to entertain at UT

Not 2026-7 related but could be relevant for future

Assuming they’re all one and done at Texas, you could have Isaiah Johnson, Beckham Black, and Tai Bell in a three season span.
