That's the one thing I hated about GusBall. Everyone knew Gus would make them take until they threw a strike. Good pitchers would sail an 85mph meatball right down the middle. Automatically started behind in the count. It was torture.

Brody Walls allowed a single, hit a batter and walked another with one out in the bottom of the fifth.

Ethan Walker came in with the bases loaded and got a groundout before allowing a two-run single.

He recorded a strikeout to get out of the inning.

Hudson Hamilton is on the mound for the seventh with Texas leading Houston by four runs, 7-3.

We’ve benefitted from the walks tonight but would be nice if we could get the bats going.  
 

3 hits in the last 16 innings for midweek games vs tarleton/houston.  

An Easton Winfield home run and a double have a runner on second for the Cougars in a three-run game.

Gonna be sweating out another big lead

After a strikeout and a walk, Max Grubbs replaces Hamilton with runners on first and second and one out.

Do we just not like hitting or pitching on Tuesdays? Good lord.

I get being tired after Auburn and maybe looking forward to ou. But this is terrible. 

A throwing error charged to A-Rod and a throwing error on Ermis allow two runs to score.

It’s a 7-6 lead. Houston has the tying run on third with one out in the bottom of the seventh.

I get the whole “we don’t care about midweeks” crap, but this team just looks undisciplined and sloppy. It’s actually embarrassing. 

Grubbs gets two outs to get the Longhorns out of the inning.
