It's first and third with nobody out for Ole Miss.

And more than likely they are going to pitch around him for the rest of the game, getting him some walks.  But hey, what do I know.

Decker looked at a payoff pitch and thought he a walk. Instead, he's back in the dugout after being called out on strikes.

Nasty, nasty stuff from Volantis. I don't blame Fawley for the bad AB. Volantis' stuff was gross on that one.

Good for Volantis to work out of that situation. 

Let’s see if we can get a consistent strike zone.  Volantis got squeezed and the om pitcher has been getting room off both sides of the plate.  

Pack thought about it going to second, but his ground ball through the right side is a leadoff single.

Now, Pack is second after Libbert is called for a balk.

Pack is just a really good hitter.  Simple statement, but no other way I can say it.  And Borba much improved from last year.

The staff loved him from the jump. I don't think anybody thought he'd be this good this early, though.

Borba has improved his game so much from last season, great to see.

It looks like if we can push over another run without an out they will pull their starter.  Gumbo needs to make them roux the day they pitched to him.

Bodies are stirring in the Ole Miss bullpen as Libbert starts 3-0 to Gumbo.

Gumbo does his job. A flyout to center is deep enough to get Pack home from third to make it 3-0.
