Spartans utilize the shift against Becerra to lead off the second.

Becerra gets hit in the left shoulder with a 2-1 pitch.

The leadoff man is on for the Longhorns, who bring Pack to the plate.

DyVo has the most important statistic locked down though.  Texas seems to be winning the attrition game so far.

Tinney keeps the inning alive by ripping a two-out double to left that hits off the mesh wall.

Jonah is up with two down and a runner in scoring position.

Jonah smacks a single through the right side. The ball scoots into right field, allowing Carson Tinney to score.

It's a 3-0 lead for the Longhorns.
