Couple of names to know:

Tennessee DL Caleb Herring

Jackson State OL Mason Barton

Would Barton be an upgrade over Brooks as a backup OT?

WE OFFERED HIM 3 TIMES WHAT INDIANA DID AND WE STILL CAN’T GET HIM?

Interesting…he had committed to Arkansas

Never thought a college football player from Arkadelphia, Arkansas would be considered by Texas, but welcome to college football in 2026.

@Bobby Burton @Gerry Hamilton in regards to Herring. I know you spoke about how we have to see if he is looking for a “starting” job and if that’s important to him. When it comes to EDGE, does that really matter at Texas? I mean as much as we rotate our DL as a whole? In 24, Simmons wasn’t a “starter” but he certainly played a hefty amount and made a name for himself. Maybe this is all null and void now that PK is gone, but I have to imagine there’s still quite a rotation at EDGE in muschamps system where you are playing quite a bit even without being a “starter”

Add OL Terence Roberson of Ouachita Baptist to the list.

Arkansas already announced him as signed with them?

these guys could also be brought in for depth at a discounted rate...these players want to get to a P5, and have experience.

Roberson, a 6-foot-6, 310-pound redshirt freshman offensive lineman, has received offers from Arkansas, LSU, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, UConn, Southern Miss, Oklahoma, and Auburn. The growing list reflects how quickly his name has risen during the early stages of the transfer process.

considering they called him a defensive lineman, I wonder how well they vetted the situation...

Texas checked out of that recruitment a while back and we reported as such.

I know, but I thought Texas may have been circling back after he left Indiana without signing.

How do Iowa-Wisconsin-BYU-Utah always manage to have great maulers and we struggle more often than not to have a decent OL?
