93 yard TD run is now the longest in falcons history. My question to the board: Will Bijan be the best Longhorn to ever play in the NFL? He’s still young and has stayed relatively healthy which is crucial at his position. But the guys the best RB in the league.

He’s absolutely phenomenal ! If his career is long he has a chance to be the best of the best imo

Earl Campbell had a four-year start that's about as impactful as any running back has ever had (and he was the 1979 NFL MVP).

Ricky Williams rushed for more than 10,000 yards.

Earl Thomas should be in the Hall of Fame at some point.

Tommy Nobis should've already been in the Hall of Fame.

Casey Hampton doesn't have the numbers, but he went to five Pro Bowls and won two Super Bowls with the Steelers.

Bobby Layne was one of the best quarterbacks who played in the pre-merger era of the NFL.

But considering the way Bijan has started, he's got a real chance.

Priest had a hell of a three year run too

Jamal Charles wasn’t bad. Ricky would be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame has weed been legal back then.

Be real hard to top Earl Campbell considering the way teams played back then versus now.  Derrick Henry is the closest thing I’ve seen to Earl Campbell.

Bijan is incredible.

He is not as good as Earl.

Comparing Bijan and Earl is like comparing a perfectly balanced sword to a battering ram. Both effective when used properly, but very different in style. If Bijan stays healthy, he will set many records. He is special.

Completely different style of players, but Bijan is already averaging a higher YPA and season average rushing yards. Bijan has also doubled Earl's receiving yards. All of that while being completely underutilized his first season.

None of this takes away from Earl because he was incredible. However, to say Bijan isn't as good as Earl is statistically not true so far. Bijan is a more complete RB.

Did you see Earl play?

In season 2 of his career, Earl was not just the best running back in the league- he was the best player in the NFL.

He was unquestionably the MVP.

Stats can't tell the story because the game changes over time.  The best way to judge greatness is to compare a player to their peers.

See the YouTube video of Earl on MNF against Miami in 1978. One of the greatest MNF performances in history.
