Sherrone Moore Fired

Featured Replies

Forget for a moment about the replacement of Moore as HC… If I was a parent to one of the recruits that signed with Michigan I’d have them go some other place just from the shadiness of it all.
Not only is the history of the latest coaches hired by Michigan very worrying, but the all around demeanor of the program feels rotten.
You get accused of cheating, the previous head coach is banned from coaching in college, the next HC is a cheater and clearly mentally unwell, 11 of the previous Harbaugh coaches have been either banned or arrested… Shy the hell would you want your kid to go there? These issues are deep rooted in the program.

Yeah, this doesn’t even make sense.

A friend of mine said, this is BS. Now I have to worry about door dash drivers snitching on me ordering my late night cheesy tots?

Yet, they signed. That’s why I doubt many will leave.

Equally bad are the agents. They had to know about this and still let their “clients” sign there. Sounds like a violation of fiduciary responsibilities. Maybe they all knew and there’s a handshake agreement for the next hc?

Oh my.

I won't rant about the. moral issues, or the plain stupidity of a person in a position of authority over so many young athletes doing this, but -

1.  how did he find the time and energy for this????  JK of course, and

2.  a story about my wife and I years ago on the deck having some wine.  She abruptly asked me "Paul, have you ever cheated on me?"  My response was "honey, one of youse is enough!"  P

This timing is VERY odd…..

Indeed it is; I'm wondering if it is a. them wanting to move on, and they had a reason and pulled the trigger (doubtful) or b.  something legal forcing action immediately.

This is a stark reminder that as an adult, don't do anything stupid and try your best to do the right thing at all times. Sherrone Moore did one of the dumbest things you can do at the workplace, and he essentially threw millions dollars away and destroyed his family. Was it worth it?

If you’re a parent of a recruit you would know this is the norm for Michigan since Covid. Harbough is a scumbag and Moore is a scumbag who only got the job because it kept him from snitching.

Apparently, the bars in Ann Arbor are very busy

There had been some rumblings about this prior to signing day. But it looks like Michigan tried to put the hay in the barn first.

I suspect Biff Poggi will be named interim for bowl game. He stepped in for Moore when Moore was suspended previously.

Potential to back fire on them - recruits (or anyone for that matter) do not like to be played.

I'm guessing the guy in Tuscaloosa gets a call after the playoffs.

@Bobby Burton, does DeBoer have connections to Michigan?

Yes we did. He was too familiar with a staff member and that is where the similarities stop

He knew all along this was going to drop! This was a preemptive strike used for cover. He picked Texas because Lee was probably waffling and it took eyes off what was really going on in the background. I give him one thing, he really learned from our government officials on how to do this!

Not to be a Karen, but I do feel for the women who were involved in this. There was clearly a power dynamic at play, and it must be traumatizing to have to watch something you probably feel shame about unfold so publicly. I hope they are taken care of by the university. What a rotten program it must be at UM.

Ur not being a Karen at all!  This is disgustingly bad behavior by people in a power position, praying on interns.  Another one of those "surely someone knew about this" situations.
